Evidence over hype.

We help busy people build mornings that work, using what the research actually supports instead of what sounds impressive.

Why we exist

Morning-routine advice has a credibility problem. Four-hour routines from people with no children, no commute and a supplement to sell. Single studies of twenty students turned into rules for everyone. Gadgets reviewed by people who used them for an afternoon.

Optimized Mornings is the opposite. We start from the evidence, we are honest about how strong it is, and we design every routine for people with jobs, families and roughly ten spare minutes.

What we cover

  • Wake: sleep timing, morning light and waking up gently.
  • Fuel: coffee, breakfast and hydration.
  • Move: short morning exercise and mobility.
  • Focus: planning, journaling and attention.
  • Routines: ready-made mornings for specific lives.
  • Gear: tested tools such as sunrise alarms, trackers and coffee kit.

How we research

Every guide starts with the research: systematic reviews and meta-analyses where they exist, then well-designed trials, then observational studies, clearly labelled as such. We link to the sources we rely on so you can check them yourself, and we say so when the evidence is thin, mixed or mostly from small studies.

We avoid absolute promises. Most morning habits have modest, real effects that add up; very few change your life in a week. When something is promising but unproven, we will tell you that too.

How we review products

Product recommendations follow a written process: what we test, for how long, and what would make us change a verdict. Read the full method on how we review.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Brands cannot pay for a place in our rankings, and a commission never decides a recommendation. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Not medical advice

We write for healthy adults who want better mornings. Nothing here replaces advice from a doctor or other qualified professional, especially if you have a sleep disorder, a medical condition or take medication.
